In an unfortunate case of adultery, a husband managed to prove to himself (if not to a court), that his wife had been seeing another man, by examining his Nintendo Wii
This case was not a full “forensics analysis” of a Ninento Wii, but due to the nature of data storage on a Wii, it is almost the recommended method of analysing a Nintendo Wii.
The affair
The husband, Man A, was in the Army a came home after serving in Iraq, to find numerous reports from friends that his wife had been cheating on him, with Man B. Despite the claims he had no physical proof that the Man B had been to his house. But, when Man A, consoled himself in a game of Wii he found a new Mii had been created on his Nintendo. This Mii looked remarkably like Man B, and was created and played with, while Man A was in Iraq.
I [Man A] flip through the Wii menu and visit the Mii Channel so I can peruse the many friends that I have created with the guys that I played with in Iraq. As I go through the characters I see there is a Mii that I have not created. It’s a guy strikingly similar to [Man B]. To be sure of this, I went into the Wil Message Board and click on the Calendar option. Through this menu I was able to identify the many nights my wife’s Mii and this ‘other’ Mii Character played Wii Bowling. It became clearly obvious that she couldn’t explain her way out of this.
