IPLX Database

The IPLX database, sometimes referred to the PLX, or I-PLX database  is database of allegations, rather than convictions – which is known as the PNC.

IPLX stands for Interim Police Local Cross Check – it is an “interim” as it was brought out following the Bichard Report, based on the Soham Murders. The PLX database was launched in March 2005, and now holds a database of allegations across England and Wales.

In 2009 IMPACT will go live, and should replace IPLX.
